They're so cute (especially the one with the paperboy cap)
Purim is one of my favorite festivities. I'm totally into mishloach manot. I absolutely LOVE putting them together and making butt-kicking bundles of delicious goodness to send off to people I know might not have the means. I like the fact that it isn't charity but a mitzvah to care about your fellow jew and making sure they have a feast in their home too.
Ok enough, I need to go punch a kitten to get the fuzzy warmness out of me.

They (well, half of them) were here this last weekend. My youngest and I got to see them perform live on Sunday. :D

They're really awesome guys, too! I'm amazed they have the time to make such professional videos.

My friend Meir (Shrek) flew all the way back from the concert Sunday night so he could take our Gemara final on Monday.

They really are. :) It's pretty clear that part of the appeal of the group and their videos is that they are real menchen.

I know Immanuel (first soloist on Candlelight) from another forum, but Sunday was the first time I had met him in person. Lots of my daughter's friends and classmates were at the concert. One of them noticed her getting introduced around afterward and asked her about it Monday. So my frequently-socially-awkward kid got to be cool for a day. :) Because of one her mother's internet friends!

Let me wonder the word "purim".
Haman wanted to crush the Jewish nation.
As reward he was crushed with his family.

The meaning of the verb "pur" is "to break i pieces".
Thus "purim" may also be translatable "breakings",

one breaking not happened nor possible to happen and
another breaking happened to Haman and happening to all those hating Jews.

The awkward ones always wind up being the cool people later in life (or the serial killers)

This one only works in Hebrew.

Why do Jews eat Hamantashen on Purim?

מאחר שכתוב בחז"ל שהתורה נתנה רק לאוכלי המן.

This only works in Yinglish.
knock knock
whose there?
Vashti
Vashti who.
Vashti hands before you eat.
